Perks and Perkbooks
Characters may gain perk points as they level up in a class. Perk points allow players to read special perkbooks. Perkbooks train skills which are passive, and outside the scope of normal classes. Perk skills are always trained to 100. Characters may only gain a few perk points over the life of the character, so no character may learn all of the perks, just some. Perk books are considered temporary, and are completely game controled and made, as there is no actual perkbook object (my 1st attempt at dynamic controlled items which do not use object numbers, just data). Perk books are not rentable, and are not saveable in the player file of a character. Perkbooks may be read by anyone who has a perk point.

Perkbook Abilities Listing
  • Class Act - 1 added practice session per level. Yields 2 pracs per level for dual class, and single class net 3ppl.
  • Saving Knows - minus one to all saving throws.
  • Great Experiences - Player gains 1 experience per minute hour logged in
  • Stock Broker - Player gains 1 gold per mud minute logged in.
  • Armaghedonist - Ability to regen during time stops.
  • Night Knight - Bonus 20% regen during night time hours.
  • Day Shift - Bonus 15% regen during day time hours.
  • Group Fiend - Additional experience from groups.
  • Sacrafice Bandit - 10% more sac pts per sacrafice.
  • Crusher Nut - 20% bonus to base thac0 while using crush weapons.
  • The Infiltrator and the King - Allows the Infiltrators 1st strike and extra 10% damage boost while hiding.
  • The Shadowblade and the Minstrel - Lessens the rate at which performances fail.
  • Pyrokinetic Wonder - Decreases lost concentration on fire spells.
  • The Sexy Mudder - Decreases lost concentration rates on healing spells.
  • The Pirate Wench - +1 max consitution.
  • Ninja Slaying Anthem - +1 max dexterity.
  • The Confessor and the Maiden - +1 max wisdom.
  • The Strongarmed Weakone - +1 max strength.
  • The Eldritch and the North - +1 max intelligence.
  • Power Monger - Spells which cost more then 5 mana to cast, cost 2 mana less.
  • The Roguerest Rogue - Decreases movement costs for backstab, dbl stab and triple stab.
  • The Vouyer and the Window - Performances which cost more then 5 movement, cost 2 movement less.
  • The Clock Maker - Nets a new masonry recipe, a clock work golem.
  • Health Fiend - Player gain 1 added health per mud minute.
  • Mana Madness - Player gains 1 extra mana per mud minute
  • Move Maker - Player gains 1 extra movement per mud minute.
  • Lady Killer - Increased 10% damage to female npcs.
  • Friar Tuck - Increased 15% damage to pound, crush or beat weapon proficency.
  • Lordly Might - 10% extra damage versus special grown mobs (elite, lord, legend etc.)
  • Two shields are better then One - Player can grab a 2nd shield, provided a shield is worn, and he wields no weapon or holds nothing.
