Simple really. Through the years, Ive played alot of muds. Ive played alot of MMorpgs, and I've played alot of single player fantasy games, single player shooters, adventure, action. I remember when i had to buy a book and code a simple comodore game in order to play it. I remember my Apples fondly, I remember being thrilled to upgrade from a 900 baud modem to a 2400 baud modem. simple things like bbs hopping in the wee hours of the morning. never mind the fact that I was still in my teens. bards tale, probably one of my favorite games from my youth, the long epic games always were. There is not much really epic to me any more, except this place.

I have OCD/ADD, and a long list of other things that they have funny names for. Strangely, when it comes to coding up this place, those things seem to benefit me. Its a solace, I find, in the code and in the game. An enjoyment that cant quite be named, or isolated, but its still cool.

Strangely, it occured to me years ago, that most games do not take thing to my level of playing. Sure there are MUDS out there which are newbie friendly Sure there are alot MUDS out there, which offer alot. Most of them do not offer The difficulty, and needed long term play to capably interest me, or others, who look for an equal challenge. Thats what this place is, and always has been. A challenge.

Some where along the way, as both a creator, and a player, I lost my imagination. I forgot what really made this place tick, and lost sight of the real picture. So I stepped back and had a long, brooding thought process, and started removing all the stuff that didnt quite ever fit.

Immagination should never be left behind or forgotten, it should be embraced, but it should never be left uncontrolled.
Rabbit hole runs very-very deep.
