  • Beginning Gameplay. Your characters made, equip a weapon and wear all. Then letter rip. Ahhh thats right, your new, try the maproom for maps...The this map of Tupelo is also helpful. Ok, now you have leveled. If you wish to level in a guild again, you need exp(erience) which is gained mainly from killing mobs and completeing quests. when you get enough exp, type 'level gain'.
  • Area Maps, The maproom page has a list of maps, The map you want is called tupelo. It connects to several low level areas, and is filled with critters for you to slaughter. Chickens, lizards, fairies are prime targets. the kobold area east of tupelo also has good mobs. gully dwarves and citizens arent bad.
  • Mobs. if you see a mob (critter) you wish to kill, con it will give you a message giving you odds on your chance of srvival. currently con (consider) command doesnt function as well as it should. this will be fixed sometime soon.
  • Never forget scan to see what mobs are around you, type 'scan'.
  • Combat Initiation To start combat off, type kill, strike, kick. or backstab if you have a piercer. bash works too but it does not work all that well. hit also works well. kill all works, but its suggested that kill all not be used, since mobs can wander in, or repop and you would hit the wrong mob. if your a mage you can just cast 'magic miss'
  • Living & Dieing If you dont manage to live, dont street out to much, if your dead, type ressurect. (type ressurect if your normal, tough, roughneck, ressurect on a hardcore character will kill that character). If a roughneck or tough character ressurects, they loose one point karma. should that character hit -1 karma, they are deleted. dont worry though, you can always flee from combat before you die, or recall (word of recall spell or convey scrolls).
  • Training. Goto a guild your a memeber in, and type prac. this will bring up all the skills and spells you may practice at this guild. typing prac outside of a guild will show you ALL the spells and skills you know. This can get spammy later on in life, when you acquire 200-300 spells & skills. Prac or will spend practice points on raising the skill, each practice raises a spell/skill 3 pts. Now for skills practiced under 20 pts, no skill exps is used in training. once a skill goes past 21, it will start to cost skill exp to raise. the amount is based on your knowledge of the spell/skill and your level in the class you are training in.
  • Gaining Experience You gain experience to level from killing mobs, you gain skill exp from killing mogs. after you kill a mob the mob will leave a corpse on the ground. the command get all corpse will get everything visible out of the corpse. note invisible objects to someone who cant see invis objects wil be left in the corpse. mobs have been known to drop all sorts of things.
  • Sacrificing Corpses you may sac the corpse . your 1st corpse you kill you might want to a couple times. get corpse, take the drop the the shrine south of the cleric guild, drop the corpse and sac it. This allows you to worship a god (there are other gods in the realms should you choose to follow a different god). some temples are harder to find then others. saccing corpses accumulates points under that gods name and put sac points in your score. later on when you accumulate alot of sac, there are vendors who sell you stuff for sac point vendors. following a god also allows you to pray for holy equipment. pray to get a piece of holy eq. holy eq names are document in the general help file page.

  • Ingame Alias's alias's can be show by the alias command: aliases are quick key combos that can be typed rather then do entrire command sets. typing 'alias 1 get all corpse' (without the '''s) will create the alias 1. anytime 1 is entered as a command it will get all corpse of the 1st corpse in the room. 'alias 2 sac corpse' would would make the 2 alias, so anytime 2 was enetered as a command, it would sac the corpse.
  • Shops, buying and selling Buying and selling. Shop keepers are plentiful in the realms. most reside in towns in the game, while others live in very remote and often hostile regions. typing list at a shop keeper will show you everything that the shop keeper has for sale. if there are noflags listed between the price and the item name, then you can use/wear that object, if there are flags such as # % & @ ^ etc then you cant wear that item at the time, there are other flags off top of my head, but i forget at moment. prices on shop keepers are affected by alignment, alignment of both the shop keeper and you the buyer. so prices can vary for many different players on the same shop keeper. but if a person atches the keepers alignment he will sell to you ate the true cost. selling. quite often you will find stuff on the ground, or on the corpses of mobs that can be sold to shop keepers or to other players (auction command, like gossip) sell to a vendor and he will buy the item if he can afford it. vendors buy at half the rate of which the sell. vendors need to make money too. often time, on rare objects, it works better to auction that you have an item for sale or trade.
  • Money Gold coins are the standard. When you save up enough money, you may wish to buy some scrolls from the scribe shaggy in town. recite convey victim can be self also, will recall the person to the recall spot of the town that they are now residing in. recogintion scrolls are recited upon objects, and tell the properties of the object being identified.
  • Groups & grouping If your not a solo'er and like to group with other players, type 'gwho', this will show you a list of all the current grouped being run. give the leader a tell and ask to group, experience is much easier to get in a group then soloing, though both are risky.
  • Exploration Explore the town, and the world. when you die use the ressurect command, yes you will die.
  • Food & water Should you happen to run out of water, or you loose your cups, there are drink containers and food that can be bought in town. you may refill drink containers at the fountain located in the center of town.

If you wish to leave the game, goto an inn and type rent. the innkeeper will not charge you gold to rent, they enjoy their work for free. How ever, the innkeeper will make some money off loaning you vault space. Each and every character ingame has a unique vault assigned to their character at creation. If you havent used a vault before, type deposit. This will initialze your vault. deposit will put that object in your vault if the item is in your inventory and its allowed in a vault (not everything is). to see your vaults belongings, type list. to withdraw an object from a vault, after typing list, withdraw <#>, where # is the item # in the vault. the innkeeper will charge you a set amount of money (level based) for each and every deposit and withdraw you make for his services. listing items is free. vaults hold unlimited objects. your vault can be accessed from ANY innkeeper ingame, even in other cities.
