Here at the start, I will say that SoulMUD is not for everyone. What used to be a simple realm has evolved into a very frankenstein like creation. It is a difficult mud by normal standards, and is very complex and diverse in nearly all its aspects (a very deep rabbit hole). It is not for the weary or faint of heart or those who would discourage easily. There is VAST power for characters who progress and survive. There is also death to those who would fail. What makes it difficult is it is never the same world with each reboot, and that some events can change the scope of the game itself. To balance this, I offer an advanced start of 1billion experience to any and all players.

Quest mode, to allow all characters the chance to quest without perma death. Though quest mode also makes mobs much meaner, and disables certain spells like raise dead.

This brings us to mobs. Mobs can be VERY mean. This mud is not simple. Its simple at the start of the game, but the more you play and are forced to explore, you will find that mobs are very mean. The longer the mud stays up, the meaner the entire world becomes.
